Attention Local 503 Members, Recently there have been many postings for Bargaining Unit positions at Orange & Rockland Utilities. We want to remind all members to put “ALL QUALIFICATIONS “for whatever posting that they bid on. The Human Resources Department will disregard postings if the qualifications are not listed. This is extremely important and we don’t want members to be overlooked for positions that they are interested in and qualified for due to missing information. Should you have any questions on how you should submit a bid ask your Shop Steward or call the Union Hall (845)-783-5007 Fraternally Yours, Melissa Kurtz Recording Secretary I.B.E.W. Local Union 503

IBEW Political Action Center
Sisters and Brothers, As you are well aware, the United States Senate is broken. The filibuster is a primary tactic that is used to stall legislation. “Filibuster” refers to any attempt to block or delay Senate action on legislation by debating it at length or among other things offering numerous procedural motions. Historically, the filibuster was used on a limited basis.

As we discussed back in the spring, the measure would increase the penalties for attacking a utility worker. Joining us from New York City to explain more is Pat Guidice from IBEW Local 1049.
