On Monday November 23 a fellow union employee for 15
years Betty Caton, a Sr. New Construction Account Coordinator in
Saddle River,
had a house fire that has forced her family out of their home.
Fortunately, NO ONE was injured or hurt.
Unfortunately,
Betty had to relocate to a hotel, her ill husband is living with her
daughter because he requires around the clock care. They are without some
basic needs. CLOTHING and toiletries and of course a lot of pictures and
sentimental gifts were lost as well as Christmas presents for her family.
Betty’s
22 year old granddaughter lives with her also, ever since Betty’s other
daughter passed away 6 years ago from a brain aneurysm.
As
you know house fires may be localized to a single room, but smoke and water
damage can be extensive the whole bottom floor of her house is destroyed.
So,
we have started a collection to provide some monetary support and are asking
for small donations that will assist Betty and her husband to get thru this
difficult time.
